As promised earlier, here it is a step-by-step showing how I did all my superhero speeds over the past few weeks.

I wanted to try something in black and white, finally, some colors showed up. It was done using the same silhouette technique described earlier.

Hero of the Day: Spiderman

Here's how I do the superhero speed paintings posted here lately. I start with a rough silhouette, and build over it. The final step is correcting the outline of the silhouette with white. It's easy and take only a few minutes per image.

I coudn't resist and did one more Batman speed painting... Damn I love that character... just as much as I like Mike Mignola & Ashley Wood. Can you notice from my work?

How to get more fingers and draw faster.

More layout for a comic project to come.

I do these on letter size paper with blue pencils. When I'm done, I blow it up to the original format and print it on a board to do the finished piece from it. I will then scan the final lineart and remove the blue with photoshop to get a tighter, final version I can color.
